NIC (Network Interface Controller or also known as Network Interface Card, LAN Adapter, Network Adapter, or by such similar terms) is a hardware computer of computer that helps a computer be connected to a computer network.
Network interface controllers used earlier were implemented on expansion cards that were fixed into the bus of the computer; since Ethernet standard today are affordable, it means that the newer computers have the interface of network constructed into their motherboards.
